Note: There was recently a change to the way 1-person, 2-person and 3-person Boxes are sold, which increases the cost we have to pay to get them. Until further notice, we will be adding a per-Box (NOT per ticket!) fee of 450 yen for a 1-person Box, 700 yen for a 2-person Box and 900 yen for a 3-person Box. We hope they will go back to the old sales method soon and we will stop charging this fee immediately if they do.
*'A' Boxes come in sizes for 1, 3 or 4 people. 'B' and 'C' Boxes come in sizes for 1, 2, 3 or 4 people. 2-person Box 'C' are designed for 4 people, but sold only for 2 people, so you get more space. You can't buy just part of a Box. So for example, if you want 2 tickets for a Box, but there are no 2-person Boxes left, you have to buy Arena seats. Arena seats are for 1 person.

New seat type - Family Tickets
Information about Family Tickets:
1. A Family Ticket requires at least 2 people. At least one person must be an adult, and at least one person must be a child between the ages of 4-15 years old. The ticket cost does not change with the number of people, but we charge our service charge for each person.
2. We will send you a voucher for your Family Ticket. This is not the entrance ticket! The voucher must be exchanged for your tickets between 9:00AM-5:00PM on the day of the event. The exchange is made at a tent-structure to the right of the main box office at the arena. You must have every member of your group present to get the tickets. We think they do it this way to prevent abuse of the system, such as a group of adults with no children using a Family Ticket to get the discount. If you arrive without any children, they will probably not give you your tickets.
3. If you order a Family Ticket but they are sold-out when we try to buy it, we will downgrade you to the next level of Family Ticket of the same category (Box or Arena). If a downgrade to the same category of Family Ticket is not available, we will contact you.

All customs taxes, fees and duties, if any, are to be paid by the customer.
We can also ship to your hotel or home in Japan by registered mail with tracking. The cost is 450 yen for orders up to 50,000 yen and 600 yen for orders over 50,000 yen.
Please note that this converter is only for you to get an idea of the total cost in your currency, as we only accept payments in yen. Don't worry, Paypal makes it easy to pay in yen. Also, these rates are the inter-bank rates (ie. only for large transactions between banks), and the rate you get will be different by a few percent.
Orders from within Japan can be paid by either Paypal or domestic bank transfer (furikomi). *Note that if you are in Japan and choose to pay by bank transfer, we will give you a discount by removing the Paypal fees which are built in to the prices. Ask us for details!
For customers outside of Japan, we only accept Paypal for payments. With Paypal, you can make your payment from a bank account or credit card. It also allows you to easily pay in yen.
If you don't have a Paypal account yet, that's OK! We will send you a Paypal invoice and you can pay by credit card without signing up. If you'd like to pay from your bank account, click here to sign up.
Note that payments with Paypal from a credit card or your Paypal balance are processed instantly, but payments from your bank account will take a few days to clear. We will not purchase your tickets until payment has cleared.
1. Pre-orders may be canceled and refunded only if we receive notice by email from you at least 2 hours before actual ticket sales begin. Please try to give us as much notice as you can. In the case of a canceled pre-order, we will be able to refund all costs, including ticket cost with Paypal fees, our service charge and shipping costs.
2. If we have already purchased your tickets, but have not yet sent them, only the shipping cost is refundable. However, we might be able to help you to re-sell your tickets. Please contact us for more information.

4. Sumo events are rarely canceled (in the last 60 years, only one major tournament has been canceled). If your event is canceled, the following rules will apply:
a) The face value of the ticket will be refunded to you. How this happens depends on the event and the circumstances of your order. In some cases, you will be able to visit the arena yourself to get the refund. In other cases, you will be able to mail the tickets back to us to apply for the refund on your behalf. The customer will be responsible for the cost of sending the tickets back to us. Please note that in order to get a refund, the original tickets must be returned. No refund will be given by the Sumo Association to either you or us if the original tickets cannot be produced.
b) Our service charge, normally 1,200 yen per ticket, is refundable.
c) Shipping costs are refundable only if we have not sent your tickets at the time we receive notice of the event cancellation. If your tickets have already been shipped, we cannot refund shipping costs.
d) Paypal fees added to the tickets, a small percentage which is usually the difference between the face value of the ticket and the ticket cost we charge, are only refundable if both of the following are true:
i) We obtain your ticket refund for you. This could happen if you send the tickets back to us by mail, or if we still had your tickets because they were not yet shipped. In some cases, the customer will be able to apply for the refund on their own, and in such cases we cannot refund Paypal fees.
ii) Your Paypal payment was received less than 60 days before we apply for the refund.
