If you have the chance to visit Tokyo during a sumo wrestling tournament, then we highly recommend that you take advantage of the opportunity to see it. Tokyo is a very modern city, and many of the reminders of traditional Japan have disappeared, but sumo remains. A day at the sumo tournament is something that you need to do at least once! (Tournaments are also held in Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.)
Please contact us if you'd like tickets for the special one-day event in Tokyo on February 11th!
Tickets are now on sale for the March 2010 tournament in Osaka from March 14th to 28th!
If you're trying to buy sumo wrestling tickets for an upcoming visit to Japan,
you probably know that it's a major pain. The Sumo Association
box office only accepts phone calls in Japanese, and does not allow
orders from overseas. They're useless.
Travel agencies that accept orders from overseas often only sell one category of ticket, and make you sign-up for a complete package including bus, lunch, souvenir, etc. Of course, this inflates your cost. All you wanted was a ticket, right?
There are also many worldwide ticket agencies that advertise sumo tickets online, but you can only buy from them if they have some in stock. We checked about ten of these websites and didn't even find any available tickets or prices. And this was after the on-sale date. They're about as helpful as the Sumo Association.
So why are we any different? Well, we're located in Japan and only deal in sumo tickets. Because we buy our tickets from the box office on customer request, if the box office has tickets, they're yours! We can get you nearly any kind of ticket that's available. Best of all, we'll sell you the tickets without a package tour added on! We'll send them to you by EMS, complete with tracking
and insurance in case of loss. Tickets take 3-5 days to arrive
for most world destinations. Now isn't that a useful service?
