Event Information

Sale opens on December 15th. We're accepting pre-orders now.

The event on April 5th is at the Big Hat (ビッグハット), also known as the Nagano City Wakasato Multipurpose Sports Arena (長野市若里多目的スポーツアリーナ). The closest train station is Nagano (長野), which is on several train lines including the shinkansen (bullet train). From there it's about a 10-minute taxi ride, or you can take a bus. For directions by train to the station, please use this useful website:

If you take the bus from Nagano station, go to the Zenkoji exit platform #2. You can take the #21 bus and get off at Big Hat Mae (ビッグハット前). We recommend showing your sumo ticket to the driver to make sure you are on the correct bus.

The event begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:00pm, but you can arrive at any time. Here are the details (times are approximate):

9:00am - open practice for wrestlers

12:00pm - lower division matches, comic sumo performance, drums

1:30pm - upper division ring entrance ceremony and matches

3:00pm - bow-twirling ceremony, end of event

No shoes are allowed on the 1st floor (Ringside, Box, Arena). Bring your own slippers. You can buy them in convenience stores.

Ringside and Box are sitting on the floor and come with souvenir cushion.

Children 3 years old and younger don't need a ticket if they don't need their own seat, but only on the 3rd floor. Children 5 years old and younger may not sit in Ringside at all.

Food Set contains a Nagano specialty lunch, green tea, and program. You can add them to your cart along with your seat ticket. Food sales on the day of the event will be limited, so we advise buying in advance if you want to eat at the event. These sets do not include a ticket to enter the event.

Ticket prices include our service fee (2,000 yen for adult entry tickets, 1,000 yen for child entry tickets, 500 yen for Sets) and payment fees (about 3% of ticket price).
