You can use this menu to change the currency of the prices. This is an approximation only. We always make our prices in Japanese yen and the exchange rate will be determined by our payment service (Flywire) on the date of payment.
Please understand that even if a ticket type is in this list, it might not be available. Weekends and holidays sell out extremely quickly. We strongly recommend that you plan at least one weekday when you can go to sumo and use this as one of your date choices. We limit the number of orders we take for weekends and some ticket types on weekdays.
Service charge includes our fee, plus payment and ticketing fees that we have to pay. The payment fees are a percentage of ticket cost, so higher-cost tickets have a slightly higher service charge. We also increase the service charge for tickets that are harder to get than standard.

1. A child is 15 years or younger and a senior is 60 years or older, on the event date. A Family Ticket requires at least 2 people. If there is at least 1 child or 1 senior in the group, you qualify. Groups of all children do not qualify. You must buy all 4 tickets. If you are buying more than 1 Family Ticket, you must have 1 qualifying person for each Family Ticket.
2. We will send you a voucher for your Family Ticket. This is not the entrance ticket! The voucher must be exchanged for your tickets between 9:00am-5:00pm on the day of the event. The exchange is made near the main box office at the arena. You must have every member of your group present to get the tickets. If you arrive without any children/seniors, they may not give you your tickets. They might ask for proof of age to get your tickets. It is Japanese law that all foreign tourists must carry their passport with them at all times, so they will expect that you can prove your age.
3. Family Tickets have limited availability. We will try to downgrade you to Arena tickets if we can't get the Family Ticket, unless you make other arrangements with us in advance.

The following information is only for 15-day Grand Sumo Tournaments. 1-day special events will have different schedules, which is explained on the shop page where you order the tickets.
Tickets are valid for the entire day, but you can arrive and leave at any time you want. Most people choose to arrive at about 2:30pm-3:30pm. We advise arriving at the venue no later than 3:00 on Days 1-14 or 2:30 on Day 15, so you have time to find your seat and settle in before the top division begins. The approximate times are in the table below:
The venue is called the Fukuoka Kokusai Center. Google Map You can get there by a short bus ride from Hakata Station (bus #88 or #99 from stop E), Tenjin Station (bus #80 from stop 2A) or a 10-15 minute walk from Gofukumachi(Fukuoka) Station (go out Exit 3, then go straight until you see the venue). If you want more help with the train, including directions from any station, we highly recommend this useful train-planning website.
