You can use this menu to change the currency of the prices. This is an approximation only. We always make our prices in Japanese yen and the exchange rate will be determined by PayPal or your credit card company on the date of payment.
Please understand that even if a ticket type is in this list, it might not be available. Weekends and holidays sell out extremely quickly. We strongly recommend that you plan at least one weekday when you can go to sumo and use this as one of your date choices. We limit the number of orders we take for weekends and some ticket types on weekdays.
Service charge includes our fee plus PayPal payment fees. The payment fees are a percentage of ticket cost, so higher-cost tickets have a slightly higher service charge.

1. A child is 15 years or younger and a senior is 60 years or older, on the event date. A Family Ticket requires at least 2 people. If there is at least 1 child or 1 senior in the group, you qualify. Groups of all children do not qualify. You must buy all 4 tickets in the Box.
2. We will send you a voucher for your Family Ticket. This is not the entrance ticket! The voucher must be exchanged for your tickets between 9:00am-5:00pm on the day of the event. The exchange is made near the main box office at the arena. You must have every member of your group present to get the tickets. If you arrive without any children/seniors, they may not give you your tickets. They might ask for proof of age to get your tickets. It is Japanese law that all foreign tourists must carry their passport with them at all times, so they will expect that you can prove your age.
3. Family Tickets have limited availability. We will try to downgrade you to Arena tickets if we can't get the Family Ticket, unless you make other arrangements with us in advance.

After you enter the ticket gates, use the smaller door to the left of the main entrance. There is usually a purple banner hanging over it. Inside is a hallway full of stalls with a number above each one. If you ordered a food Set A-C you will have a separate food voucher. If you ordered an Arena ticket + food/souvenir package, you will have a sticker on the back of your ticket. Go to stall #1 and show your voucher or sticker. If you can't figure it out, show your voucher or sticker to one of the ushers inside the building and they should be able to take you to the correct place. Please do not ask about food sets at the ticket gate. You can pick up your set any time from about 10:30am to 5:00pm.
The following information is only for 15-day Grand Sumo Tournaments. 1-day special events will have different schedules, which we will send you by email.
Tickets are valid for the entire day, but you can arrive and leave at any time you want. Most people choose to arrive at about 2:30pm-3:30pm. We advise arriving at the venue no later than 3:00 on Days 1-14 or 2:30 on Day 15, so you have time to find your seat and settle in before the top division begins. The approximate times are in the table below:
The venue is called the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Google Map It is located within walking distance from Ryogoku Station (1 minute from west exit) on the JR Chuo-Sobu line, and Ryogoku subway station (8 minutes from exit A4) on the Toei Oedo line. If you want more help with the train, including directions from any station, we highly recommend this useful train-planning website.
