The event on April 7th is at the Suehiro Gymnasium (末広体育館), also known as the Yoshitsune Arena (義経アリーナ). The closest train station is Komatsu (小松), which is on the JR Ishikawa Tetsudo line and the shinkansen (bullet train). From there it's about a 15-minute walk. The event begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:00pm, but you can arrive at any time. Here are the details (times are approximate):
9:00am - open practice for wrestlers
12:00pm - lower division matches, comic sumo performance, drums
1:30pm - upper division ring entrance ceremony and matches
3:00pm - bow-twirling ceremony, end of event
No shoes are allowed in the venue. Bring your own slippers. You can buy them in convenience stores.
Ringside is sitting on the floor and comes with souvenir cushion.
Children 3 years old and younger don't need a ticket if they don't need their own seat, but only on the 2nd floor. Children 5 years old and younger may not sit in Ringside 'S' at all.
Food/Souvenir Sets are available for purchase in advance. You can add them to your cart along with your seat ticket. Food sales on the day of the event will be limited, so we advise buying in advance if you want to eat at the event. Food/Souvenir Set contains a boxed lunch, green tea, and souvenirs. These sets do not include a ticket to enter the event.
Ticket prices include our service fee (2,000 yen for entry tickets, 500 yen for Sets) and payment fees (about 3% of ticket price).
