The event on April 15th is at the Kashima Sports Center (カシマスポーツセンター). The station we recommend going to is Kashimajingu station (鹿島神宮) which is on the Kashima line. From there it's about a 8-minute taxi ride. For directions by train to the station, please use this useful website:
The event begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:00pm, but you can arrive at any time. Here are the details (times are approximate):
9:00am - open practice for wrestlers
12:00pm - lower division matches, comic sumo performance, drums
1:30pm - upper division ring entrance ceremony and matches
3:00pm - bow-twirling ceremony, end of event
No shoes are allowed on the 1st floor (Ringside, Box). Bring your own slippers. You can buy them in convenience stores.
Ringside and Box are sitting on the floor and come with souvenir cushion.
Children 2 years old and younger don't need a ticket if they don't need their own seat. Children 5 years old and younger may not sit in Ringside at all.
Food/Souvenir Sets are available for purchase in advance. You can add them to your cart along with your seat ticket. Food sales on the day of the event will be limited, so we advise buying in advance if you want to eat at the event. Food/Souvenir Set contains a boxed lunch, green tea, and souvenirs. These sets do not include a ticket to enter the event.
Ticket prices include our service fee (2,000 yen for entry tickets, 500 yen for Sets) and payment fees (about 3% of ticket price).
