The event on April 24th is at the Saiden Chemical Arena Saitama (サイデン化学アリーナさいたま). The closest station is Nishi-Urawa (西浦和) station on the JR Musashino line. From there it's about a 35-minute walk, or you can take a bus or taxi. For directions by train to the stations, please use this useful website:
If you take the bus from Nishi-Urawa station, go to the Saitama City Community Bus (さいたま市コミュニティバス) platform, and get on the Sakuraku Community bus headed for Shimin Iryo Center (市民医療センター). Get off at Sakura-ku-yaku-sho (桜区役所). From there it's about a 1-minute walk. We recommend showing your sumo ticket to the driver to make sure you are on the correct bus.
The event begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:00pm, but you can arrive at any time. Here are the details (times are approximate):
9:00am - open practice for wrestlers
12:00pm - lower division matches, comic sumo performance, drums
1:30pm - upper division ring entrance ceremony and matches
3:00pm - bow-twirling ceremony, end of event
No shoes are allowed in the venue. Bring your own slippers. You can buy them in convenience stores.
Ringside and Box are sitting on the floor. Ringside comes with souvenir cushion.
Children 3 years old and younger don't need a ticket if they don't need their own seat. Children 5 years old and younger may not sit in Ringside 'S' at all.
Food/Souvenir Set contains a boxed lunch, green tea, and souvenirs. You can add them to your cart along with your seat ticket. Food sales on the day of the event will be limited, so we advise buying in advance if you want to eat at the event. These sets do not include a ticket to enter the event.
Ticket prices include our service fee (2,000 yen for entry tickets, 500 yen for Sets) and payment fees (about 3% of ticket price).
