The event on October 8th is at the Sayama Shimin Sogo Gymnasium (狭山市民総合体育館). The closest station is Sayamashi (狭山市) which is on the Seibu-Shinjuku line. From there it's a 10-minute taxi ride from the West exit. For directions by train to the station, please use this useful website:
The event begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:00pm, but you can arrive at any time. Here are the details (times are approximate):
9:00am - open practice for wrestlers
12:00pm - lower division matches, comic sumo performance, drums
1:30pm - upper division ring entrance ceremony and matches
3:00pm - bow-twirling ceremony, end of event
No shoes are allowed in the venue. Bring your own slippers. You can buy them in convenience stores.
Ringside is sitting on the floor and comes with souvenir cushion.
Children 3 years old and younger don't need a ticket if they don't need their own seat, but only in Arena seats (1st-floor and 2nd-floor). Children 5 years old and younger may not sit in Ringside at all.
Food Sets are available for purchase in advance. You can add them to your cart along with your seat ticket. Food sales on the day of the event will be limited, so we advise buying in advance if you want to eat at the event. Food Set contains a boxed lunch and green tea. These sets do not include a ticket to enter the event.
Ticket prices include our service fee (2,000 yen for entry tickets, 500 yen for Sets) and payment fees (about 3% of ticket price).
