The event on October 11th is at the Alvis Kosugi General Sports Center (アルビス小杉総合体育センター). The closest station is Kosugi(Ainokaze) (小杉), which is on the Ainokazetoyama line. From there it is a 30-minute walk, a 10-minute taxi ride, or you can take a bus. For directions by train to the station, please use this useful website:
If you take the bus, get on the bus #10 from the North exit of the station and get off at Tesaki (手崎), which takes about 15 minutes. From there it's about a 10-minute walk. We recommend showing your sumo ticket to the driver to make sure you are on the correct bus.
The event begins at 9:00am and finishes at 3:00pm, but you can arrive at any time. Here are the details (times are approximate):
9:00am - open practice for wrestlers
12:00pm - lower division matches, comic sumo performance, drums
1:30pm - upper division ring entrance ceremony and matches
3:00pm - bow-twirling ceremony, end of event
No shoes are allowed in the venue. Bring your own slippers. You can buy them in convenience stores.
Ringside and 2-person Box are sitting on the floor and come with souvenir cushion.
Children 3 years old and younger don't need a ticket if they don't need their own seat, but only on the 2nd floor. Children 5 years old and younger may not sit in Ringside 'S' at all.
Food Sets are available for purchase in advance. You can add them to your cart along with your seat ticket. Food sales on the day of the event will be limited, so we advise buying in advance if you want to eat at the event. Food Set contains a boxed lunch, green tea, and program. These sets do not include a ticket to enter the event.
Ticket prices include our service fee (2,000 yen for entry tickets, 500 yen for Sets) and payment fees (about 3% of ticket price).
